THIS IS THE BasicBooks SOFTWARE LICENSE

This is the License for the binary version of the BasicBooks program(s) from Linux Business Accounting Systems including all accompanying documentation and other matter hereinafter referred to as, “The Software”.  The Software includes the BasicBooks General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll programs and documentation.

By installing and using The Software you are agreeing to all the terms and conditions of this BasicBooks SOFTWARE LICENSE. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this license, then do not install and do not use The Software.

1. Ownership - Title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in and to The Software shall remain with Linux Business Accounting Systems. The Software is protected by the copyright and patent laws of the United States and international copyright treaties. You agree not to modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the Software.

2. Restrictions - The Software is licensed to you for your own use only. 

3. No Warranty - The Software is being delivered to you AS IS and Linux Business Accounting Systems makes no warranty as to its use or performance. THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO NON-INFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHTS, MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT WILL LINUX BUSINESS ACCOUNTING SYSTEMS, ITS PRINCIPALS OR ITS EMPLOYEES, BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING ANY LOST PROFITS OR LOST SAVINGS, OR FOR ANY CLAIM BY ANY THIRD PARTY.  THIS DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY CONSTITUTES AN ESSENTIAL PART OF THE AGREEMENT.  

4. Entire Agreement - You agree that this SOFTWARE LICENSE represents the entire agreement between you and Linux Business Accounting Systems.

5. Governing Law and General Provisions - This Agreement will be governed by the laws of the State of California, U.S.A., excluding the application of its conflicts of law rules.

6. Severability - If any part of this Agreement is found void or unenforceable, it will not affect the validity of the balance of the Agreement, which shall remain valid and enforceable according to its terms.
