System Requirements
BasicBooks General Ledger
You must have the BasicBooks General Ledger installed before you can use the Accounts Receivable module.  Accounts Receivable will automatically post entries into the BasicBooks General Ledger.

PostgreSQL database required

BasicBooks Accounts 
Receivable is a "front end" user interface to the PostgreSQL database system.  You must have PostgreSQL installed and running before you can use BasicBooks.  PostgreSQL is free and available with all Linux distributions.  If it is not already installed on your system contact your system administrator or Linux supplier.  The PostgreSQL Manual and documentation with your Linux system will tell you how to set up and start PostgreSQL.  BasicBooks Accounts Receivable will create its own database files the first time it is run as long as PostgreSQL is properly installed.

Linux
Any version which supports X-windows and the GTK+ library.  (GTK+ is available for and usually ships standard with all Linux versions.)

Computer, Memory and Disk
Any Intel or Intel Clone computer running the Linux Operating System.
BasicBooks Accounts Receivable requires 461K bytes. 
BasicBooks Accounts Receivable User Reference Manual in PDF format size is 783.5K bytes.  (Ships standard with BasicBooks)
BasicBooks Accounts Receivable User Reference Manual in HTML format, 685K bytes. (Optional Download)
(If you have enough memory and disk space to run Linux, you probably have enough for BasicBooks too.)
